When The Red Chair is
retained to purchase furniture, appliances, carpeting, window coverings,
etc., or to contract and oversee services, the retail price will be
charged, which will encompass fees for related planning and consulting. A
deposit of 50% is required at the time an order is placed and payment in
full is expected at the time of delivery or installation. The Red Chair
strives to keep prices reasonable and does not charge more than the
standard retail price. Local delivery and installation charges are
assessed at the completion of the contracted work and generally do not
exceed 10 – 13% of the total.
If The Red Chair is
asked to consult on space planning, lighting planning, furniture
placement, art and accessory arrangement, etc., where the purchase of
furnishings is not involved, such time is charged at $150.00 per hour. Where projects may involve consultation as well as some purchase, fees are
negotiable.
